AGE is about living

Nobody wants to die, we all want to live.

But guess what?
The one thing that comes with living is A.G.E.

So how do we cope with A.G.E.

A….Achieve something every day, no matter how small; Maybe it is just

to send an email to a friend, post a greeting card or sort out a messy drawer.

Make a weekly list of things to achieve.  It can be only one thing each

Day, doing these things every day gives us a feeling of fulfilment.

This will lighten the load of those “one of these days chores

that we just keep putting off.

G….Grasp each moment in both hands; live each moment to the fullest.

Now is the time to act. Procrastination is about putting our lives on hold:

Spend quality time with family and friends. Get a new hair style.

Learn something new just because you want to. Travel to that place

you have always dreamt of going. This moment belongs to you.

E…..Enjoy each day, there may be no tomorrow. Live life to the fullest:

Laugh out loud and the world will laugh with you. Dance in the rain.

Smile at everyone you see. Life is made to live and enjoy.

Act your inner age: we all have a secret one you know deep inside us.

(I know mine is 28).

I read this passage from a book written by Earl Nightingale:

“People who stay young keep their sense of humour; they know how to laugh, even when the joke is on them. They do not hold grudges.  They are quick to forgive. They know that hatred hurts the hater.  We are as young as our dreams and as old as our doubts.”

Living life is about acquiring strength and wisdom from the challengers we have overcome, and having experiences that alter the way we perceive the world around us.

Old age comes when hope and planning ahead dies.

Our thoughts are controlled by our goals and the way we foresee our future.

The belief that youth is the happiest time in our lives is a fallacy. The happiest time in our lives is when we have interesting and exciting thoughts and plans.

The only constant thing in life is change and the only person we can change in this life is ourselves. Change brings growth.

We always have a choice on how we live our lives regardless of age or circumstances, it is how we perceive ourselves and the changes we are willing to make.

AGE is simply a state of mind. A recent research stated that age is nothing but a number and suggests that we are only as old as we let ourselves feel.

I can’t answer for anyone else, but as far as I’m concerned I will continue to age and experience life to the fullest.
