Today marks one year since I posted my first blog called ‘New Beginnings’.
Since that time I have written over thirty blogs, had a true story published and I have read many interesting blogs from fellow bloggers.
I traveled to Canada and the USA, spent time with my grandson and watched him compete in the Toastmaster’s World Championship of Public Speaking.
As I look back over the year I have no regrets. I learned a lot and I realised that no matter what age you are, there are always new and exciting things to discover.
It is just a matter of looking around you and opening your mind to all possibilities.
As the dawn rises over the New Year instead of setting goals like I usually do I decided to make plans.
My way of thinking is that a goal is an aim or intention to do something, a plan is working on something you want to happen.
To begin this year, I thought I would like to share some of my plans with you, doing this is my way of letting go my fear of failure. I read somewhere that ‘clarity opens the floodgates to affluence.’
This year I want to take the risk to put myself out there and do some of the things that I have always secretly wanted to do.
I am looking forward to continue writing my blogs and I would love to have your helpful comments.
I am looking forward to writing short stories for children.
I am looking forward to making a difference in the lives of the elderly and the lonely by giving my time.
I am looking forward to 2018 and working on my plans for the year ahead.
I have many more plans and that is what makes life exciting when you get to my age.
